lol... the yankee outfielders are the biggest pussies... i think hands down we have the worst collective defensive outfield (exception of Melky).

i couldn't agree more....every time one of them doesn't play well they blame it on injuries. Look pussies, own up to the fact that you're getting old and maybe you're not having a good year/month/week/day. I'm tired of the excuses.

as for gagne, he's 31 and pitched in less than 50 games in the last three seasons. If he can stay healthy fine....but the yankees have a problem with picking up pitchers who get injured and never play. eg., pavano, brown, wright, etc... I'm just suspicious about picking up someone who hasn't pitched in two years because of injury. Last thing we need is another old player who doesn't play because he's injured. we have enough of these losers.

Good idea with keeping igawa in the bullpen. he seems to do fine in one inning. it's putting innings together where he has problems.

This kid Shelly Duncan has some serious fucking power, hes taking some monster hacks... Mattingly needs to talk to him though, get him to be alittle more selective on pitches and calm him down at the plate. If he can harness it, he can be their permanent DH. They can pull Damon for good (send him to fucking Scranton!) and stick Melky in CF.

i saw the one foul he had that he placed a few rows in the upper deck about fifty feet foul on the left field side. it was a massive shot; the ball was still rising when it hit the seat. Players like him get a little too pull happy though.

Hell, having an ace of a reliever is just as important as having an ace SP. If he can be gold in relief, he would be just as valuable. If he could be a Shields type pitcher and lock out 7 & 8, handing it over to Mo... its a start of going in the right direction.

Personally, Id rather they get Otsuka... maybe having Igawa and Otsuka going 1-2 in the bullpen could be good for them. They can communicate to each other and feed off each other.

Hes known as a pull hitter, you could tell by that rip he took that he is. Thats why Don needs to sit him down and get him to be more patient at the plate.

i like the idea of trying, but im not sure igawa could be ace anywhere. when he is on his curve looks nice, but the problem is he is inconsistent. He also doesn't have the velocity to make up for his inconsistency, so when he's off he gets hammered. it can't be worse than throwing out independent league players like we did today!

See if I was Cashman, Id go for SPs and RPs right now, atleast make a bid for the playoffs.

In 2-3 years, Tampa Bay is gonna have to resign all of their talented youth, and you know as well as I do between Kazmir, Crawford, Upton, Young and Harris, they dont have the money for it.

Best case, he'll be a Giambi type hitter, going .260 with 30HRs. Except I hope that Giambi is shipped with Damon and someone else for Teixiera when that happens.

well, crawford is definitely the best of the offensive bunch. Young just came up last year so he's in TB for 5 years or so (plus he's a mental case). Kaz i think is locked up for a few more also (maybe 2-3). We can't even make a push for upton because of cano.

I would love to have crawford on our team. That solves the outfield problem, and gives us a lead off man with great speed.
