Yeah right dude, the prices they're charging us, I can throw a way sicker party. Electric Zoo tickets are way cheaper and their lineup is better, the event location is better, and everything else production wise is too. Don't give me that "oh if you dont like it, do it yourself" bs. |
lol... buy the time I'd buy a plane ticket, get a hotel, and do all the other shit to get to NYC (which is a much more well known for EDM as a city than LA's scene is) the expense wouldn't make the event worth attending. Hell, I doubt I'd attend it if it was in LA. Mainly because I'm not a big of fan of the lineup myself.
As for their lineup being better... I really can't complain with EDC at all. I've already commented on it. I like it, and you don't. Get over it, its two differing opinions. If you don't like it, don't go. Unfortunately, the only way its ever going to change is if attendance drops a ton. Which isn't likely.
I can't speak to the production. Throwing my own events showed me how expensive this all is. I can guarantee by your attitude you don't have a clue how expensive any of it is. Oh well.
For all its worth, Henry's done what he can. Complain to someone bigger in the food chain, perhaps Pasquale can help you with the lineup issue since he's pretty high up there. All in all, right now, the only complaint I have is the lack of updates, but I have a busy life too so I understand when they don't get it up.
I also just noticed that the Colorado flyer is up on FB now. So maybe I'll see a flyer about 2 weeks prior to the event? Perhaps Insomniac is trying to do electronic promotions and cut back on the paper waste. Who knows.

I've thrown events before and one thing that I found suprising was how stoked alot of producers were to play in america and how cheap they were. I understand benny is really overpriced, imagine dropping him and adding like 3 more underground artists??? adults who follow electronic music would be more happy and plur kids dont know wats up anyways so theyll still come.
