I see your point and i never did keep up on those threads, just a few snippits of each. If thsoe threads served that bonding purpose then why were they closed? cause a couple of people didn't like the thread?
to me that is ridiculous, letting a select few others clsoe a thread because they have a certain distaste for it? Especially when they reason they dislike it is unfounded.
there has been absolutely no flaming in our thread since its inception until a few ukta's decided to go against it, why did they go against it, it was a mixture of hatred for whiskers and boredom. and if that is the criteria for closing threads...time to get busy closing.
anyways, I see your point in that closing big threads shut those trolls that dislike it up. However I think we are looking at the wrong end of the solution. I think measures should be taking so that they don't stir up shit in those threads. Instead, if they dislike a thread, or someone, they go through the proper channels to get it closed (ie, pm a mod or post in suggestion forum). then when the mods make their decision, they live with it.
and lol @ ste in the FFS thread in here. he said something like +ban for spamming...you should of seen his flooding of our thread.
so to summarize, if I can, thsoe other two large threads serve the same purpose as these two. Since those other two were closed, then these two should be closed. Why where those others closed, because a select group of people bitched and caused trouble in those threads. so to avoid further bitching and flaming, the mods caved into their requests and closed the threads. SO to prevent the inevitable bitching that will occur in threads, you think there should be a thread size limit, after reached, the thread is closed and started over.
I am saying stop the flaming and bitching end in that thread. Take that through the proper medium. then if the proper medium decideds it is time to close, close. I think long threads can stay flame free. as we have done since nov of last year with 13000 replies. until these guys jumped in and flamed and spammed.
so we are fighting the saem thing with two different methods. I like my method, I am sure you like yours....now START TO LIKE MY METHOD :P

God i love me some whitelabels. anyways, just wanted to share. my record collection is gonna be freaking huge!
