Politicians...especially the most liberal of democrats, could gain a lot if they could prove it was an inside job. They could finally destroy the Bush administration.
But for some reason, the case isn't being made.
Those that are making some noise about it, aren't getting enough attention to do anything and for obvious reasons.

| quote: | | if you knew ANYTHING about those whose "research" forms the backbone of the 911 movement you wouldnt be so convinced. unfortunately, you are incapable of telling fact from fiction and there is nothing i can help you with im afraid. |
When countless officials from the CIA, the US military, firefighters, rescue workers both past and present tell the public it was an inside job I'd rather take their word then your waste of an opinion and web space.
Sounds like you have not even bothered to read the links and watch some of the interviews from these very same people posted up in this thread because your arguing simply without logic.
| quote: | | oh of course! we should always go with what everyone else thinks! woohoo! also, the question is deliberately ambiguous, i guarantee you you'd get a different response if you said "do you believe the US government planted explosives in the WTCs", but i wouldnt expect you to understand that. |
In a case like most decided by a jury majority does decide the outcome of a decision, sorry but there goes the official 9/11 story you cling on to in your very narrow mind.
If explosives where planted as you say I would gladly take that over what is in the books providing there is proper evidence backing it. Fires certainly did not cause WTC7 to come down and no plane hit that building, no brainer here but who said you had any to begin with.
Who really cares if it was the US government who did it, if it all points to an inside job there should be an independent investigation to finally get it right.
The 9/11 commission report sure seemed to mess it up completely but I am sure this is where you get your top notch research info from. (one very big 700 page preschool book)

just for shits and giggles
| quote: |
What most likely, logically happened: While investigating and updating information on the collapse of the towers, someone at the BBC was given a report/press release that building 7 was going to collapse. [Edit: we now know they were monitoring the news from different outlets and that's where they learned of building 7.] According to the fire department, by 2:00PM they knew the building would soon collapse. Reporters KNEW this well before the collapse because there are videos of reporters talking about it before it happened. So we KNOW reporters were given information on WTC 7's imminent demise. We can conclude from this evidence that the fire department relayed information to reporters that the building was going to collapse. By the time the report reached the reporter at the BBC it may have simply been misscommunicated from "About to collapse" to "Has collapsed". She even starts out by saying "Details are very, very sketchy". That alone should put this to rest. She didn't say 'Sketchy'. She didn't say 'Very Sketchy'. She said "very, very sketchy".
It wouldn't be the first time reporters got something so completely wrong. They said it was a small plane at first, remember? They said Kerry choose Gephardt for VP, remember? They told the family members of trapped mine workers their 9 loved ones were alive, all but one, when it was the other way around. Those are just the glaring examples, I could go on... Reporters rush to be the first one with the news and often do a poor job of getting the facts straight. History is littered with this. Even your average knuckle dragging, cave dwelling Neanderthal knows this. (My sincerest apologies Geico's Neanderthal man...)
