Trust me he's great opener, headliner and closer.
I think Markus is amazing. BUT he doesnt have that big sound that some other trance/progressive djs have which you need to play closing sets to nights. His deep/melodic and sometimes techier sounds just arnt enough to keep me dancing from 3am onwards. At that times you needs blistering energy and euphoria if its trance anyway.
Maybe im just old fashioned!

Someone like Menno has a much more "Punchy" and driving sound also hes prone to playing forgotten classics now and again. As brilliant as Schulz is his sound as a DJ doesnt have that effect for me. Hes at his best as a warm up for a trance dj like Armin. Definately not following Armin. The flow isnt there at all

I think in an ideal world Markus would not have closed tonight. Bearing in mind especially Armin would have had the place jumping with the anthemic trance, it is difficult for Markus to incorporate his sound to that level right away. He loves building sets right up to grip people in right from the beginning, and more often than not, it works.

I agree som uch that i will see MArkus for a 3 hour set in the coming weeks. But his style does not work following someone like Armin. At least it doesnt till hes built it to his level.
The tunes are lovely but there is a distinct lack of energy which he kinda had at the start but is lost a bit now
