Touchscreen BlackBerry Thunder First Live Shots
The burning question answered: What does the touchscreen BlackBerry's keyboard look like? As rumored, landscape gets you full QWERTY, while portrait mode drops you to SureType to squeeze in all the buttons. It's straightforwardly utilitarian—taking up a massive amount of screen real estate, it definitely lacks in the glitz department, so I'm hoping they sex it up a bit before launch. Here's a shot of the SureType keyboard:
Crackberry also reiterates the past bit that it'll be a glass multi-touch screen with dual tactile feedback—it pushes in just a bit like a giant button and has localized haptics (it vibrates where you push it). However, the BlackBerry button will still be in heavy use to navigate around the OS. No further info on the delayed/not delayed spat, or on the name (which we've heard is actually Storm).

Nope, Rogers crashed bigtime too. First it was a general outage from too many people trying to activate, and then the entire system went tits up.
Combine that with iTunes being hammered for activation and you have a shit-storm of a day.
I'm surprised they could not have taken care of this, ahead of time. There are a finite number of phones to be activated, because there is a finite shipment of physical phones. It just amazing that these insanely large companies did not have the capacity to handle all the transactions.
Could they not have done tests before hand?

I know in the midst of the iPhone excitement my question most likely got lost between the posts. So I shall ask again.

no idea...but if you want to buy anything like that, and don't need it ASAP, buy it from Monoprice.com
They have by far the best prices for anything cable related.

Anyone tried to upgrade to the $30/6GB plan they have on rogers without an iPhone, I've heard already that if you dont have a 3G phone, they wont let you change the plan. But so far all ive read here is that they should be allowing anyone to upgrade to that limited offer plan.

What the hell is a "flash cable?" Are you looking for a cable to connect to your PC to your phone so you can flash the firmware of your phone to unlock/debrand it?
