Did you enjoy another gift from the officials today though? Lescott was clearly brought down by Ferdinand late in the game, but of course, the opposing club never get a PK at Old Trafford!

ofcourse the tackle by lescott on Carrick that was also waived away was not a clear cut penalty right?

And you piss poor club fanboys need to stop whining about United flaunting their millions and snapping up the best players in the league. All said , United is not a Chelsea or a Man City that became rich over night rather it was a impeccable business model that was nurtured over the years that got the club to where it is and the club is still running strong on all fronts. The takeover of United was the only takeover that was opposed by fans of the clubs. The fans of every other club that was taken over - Liverpool , Newcastle , Chelsea and Man Shitty greeted the takeover like beggars seeing food for the first time. From the looks of things , United is the only club where the takeover has been handled professionally with the owners knowing their role and not interfering in transactions they know they have limited knowledge in.

United can afford to buy super star players because we have one of the best youth academys in the world that helps us to nurture the best talent thereby freeing up big money to spend on one player instead of having to be like the other clubs that have to spend the same amount of 5-6 players to balance out their squad.

I am a staunch believer in the current fact that football today is a business first and a sport second. Its a sport only to people who are not involved in the business and business is all about survival of the fittest and fit is currently spelt M-A-N U-N-I-T-E-D

One more thing that i love to pride myself in about being a United fan. Name me another big club that has not had a player publicly come out and say I want out and secure a move to another club. Thats right - we have the most loyal players and no one leaves until the club wants them to

ok, now that you're done telling me how big Alex Ferguson's cock is, do you really think that one foul deserved to be called over the other?

When was the last time an opposing team had a PK awarded to them at Old Trafford?

Man United v. Roma in the Champions League last season. De Rossi blew that one badly.

what about during a league match? They're few and far between and that's being generous.

I know they awarded one to Bolton at Old Trafford St. Patrick's Day in 2007 near the end of that game

I'll see if there is one that is later than that.

I'd add Aston Villa to that list. Randy Lerner has been a great owner who knows his role.

maybe thats because our defence knows when and how to tackle inside the box. 12 games without conceding a goal is not something that happened because the opposition were not awarded a clear cut penalty every game.

In any case , this argument about the bigger teams getting preferential treatment from referees is baloney that is started by managers of smaller teams just to put pressure on referees to hopefully make more decisions in their favor. Not that the bigger clubs (united included) are any less to blame since the big 4 also seem to be doing the same thing except their criticism is about referees not protecting their star players enough.

As said countless times , referees are human and mistakes happen and being a professional , you just need to suck up the bad decisions and get on with it because that goal is not going to be overturned.

The only reason i would assume that bigger clubs get more decisions to go their way is that in a vast majority of games against bigger opposition, the smaller teams come simply to shut up shop and deploy aggressive tactics because they know it will be hard for them to salvage a point if the bigger team scores. This repeated fouling is the reason why referees sometimes get swayed and are more inclined to give a penalty when a tackle albeit a legitimate one is committed in the penalty box which I would like to call as justice being served because negative tactics deserve to be on the losing end in sport.

This season, the outspoken criticism of referees by all clubs seems to have gotten a little out of hand and all its going to lead to is referees making more mistakes come game time and football will be the loser at the end.

For starters there's the bit where he uses the fact Utd supporters protested the Glazer takeover as an arguing point and then turns around and claims that football is a business first and a sport second. The height of hypocrisy.

bla bla bla all the sudden....United have the best defence in the world in the past 2 years and they're pretty much aware of what may happen if they tackle agressive in the box....and Steve Evets all the fans from each great club if they were in Man Utd's position at that time their fans would've reacted the same...no fans want to see their favorite club finishing like Leeds....and yes...business is business and it comes first because today's players don't have the same understandings and values as the old ones... but we're fans because of the players, their playing style and because they're winning...
