It's unfortunate to hear that you didn't have an optimum night on Friday. I myself couldn't make it out, but I know that many of the TA's who did, enjoyed themselves immensely.
Personally, I think a HUGE factor that affects, (if not to completely determine), the outcome and quality of your night at such parties is who you're with. Now, you said you were with your own group and such, but keep in mind the big over-hanging theme of the night, in the VIP room: TA Invasion!!! (Don't get me wrong, I know it was for all to enjoy - rightfully so.)
I've partied solely with TA's, solely with non-TA's, and both together. Fun was had in all situations, but parties with TA's (with or without non-TA friends) have always been a blast for me. The music could've been sub-par, the rest of the crowd could've been listless, but the eminent TA vibe made everything sublime. I don't think every single trance party that has taken place has been amazing. (You had mentioned having a beef with people saying that.) When some people describe a seemingly not-so-great party as being 'amazing', I would say that they're focusing on the fun, vibe, and friends that made the crappy music or 45 degree weather seem a bit more insignificant.
Anyway, before I babble on more than need be, my point is that I think you should get to know some (more) TA's. Your view on and attitude towards partying (including parties like the one we're talking about) could very well change. I'm not telling you to change, but rathing encouraging you to get a taste of our (TA's) vibe. If you catch the bug, you'll understand all this babble of mine quite well.
No need to rush. Get to know the bunch at your own pace. Above all, HAVE FUN!! |
Wow Pris, I couldn't have said it any better. It's the truth. I've only been around since early April and I already feel like I belong. I have to admit, TA's make everybody feel welcome (even my roomate on Friday night admitted that they were all nice) I've definitely caught the bug

Exactly. I remember attending my second TA party early this year, not knowing more TA's personally than I could count on my two hands. There were all these friendly people (TA's, of course) smiling and laughing, saying 'Hi' and introducing themselves, giving hugs, handshakes, even drinks, etc. Then some more like Chris, Allan, RJ, Nat, etc. who happily toured me around and introduced me to so many more fellow TA's. It's absolutely awesome. Where else could you possibly receive a better reception from strangers and recently befriended people alike?
I do love the crew.
