I think what I said before bears repeating.
A lot of people seem to think that on an internet forum, their freedom of speech is absolute and universal. That is, no matter what they say, it is "just the internet" and there can be no repercussions.
Well, many of us on tranceaddict have made friends "on the internet." I also know several people who met their spouses "on the internet" (not on TA). So wouldn't you say that the opposite is also possible?
There are varying levels of difference between a forum and a face-to-face encounter - these aren't polar opposites. Think of a phone conference with 20 people - it is perhaps less impersonal than this forum with less room for misinterpretation because you can hear tone of voice - but there is still plenty of room for it. Would you say then, that if you said offensive and even libellous things about someone in that conference, it would be okay because it's "just the phone?"
I've read studies on internet addiction and personality transfer, it's really quite an interesting phenomenon and shows how the medium can cause people to imagine things that really aren't there - I'm well aware of this, I know that one's image of another's personality without having met them can be dubious, and yet I still must say that some remarks are invariably offensive to those that they're directed at, and making those remarks will make enemies just as making positive remarks will make friends.
I'd be curious to know how many of you also use the internet to talk to your "in person" friends. The deluded ones usually don't - i.e. they isolate the internet from their "normal" life. This makes it easier, because, if you're talking to your classmate over MSN, it suddenly becomes laughable to type "you're a fucking dumbass and a twat" into the message and follow it up with "hey, relax, it's just the 'net."

In fact, that's exactly the reason I assumed it was her. There are also other noticeable things about her posts, such as her excessive use of the sad smiley and the way she types "LOL!" after a sentence. There's also the fact that she just registered and immediately not only started posting in both the Toronto forum and the chillout room and NO other forums, but even STARTED a thread! Most people, especially girls, tend to be pretty shy at first and lurk a little, wouldn't you say? Oh, and I also noticed that when I suggest she was partyprincess, she separated it into "party princess" in her reply, which looks like a very artificial "misunderstanding" that someone would intentionally put down in order to make their claim of being clueless seem more plausible.
Maybe I'm reading too much into things. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. But I haven't been wrong about any "aliases" so far, and I think some of you would prefer to delude yourselves into thinking that it's a new girl you can crappily hit on (I'm talking to you, Liam ) instead of actually paying attention to detail.

Jesus, man, you realize that Private Investigators make pretty descent money if they're good? I'll admit, the shoe seems to fit with the picture you've drawn. I see a career path being made...
