Sure, it helps if you've heard a lot of music, but these contests are all unique and it depends on who made the samples. Styles differ and if it happens that someone's particular tastes match up with a contest then they're bound to do well. And luck comes into it to an extent because nobody can know every song. Then again, the more music you have, the more chances of you getting lucky.

Actually, I'm just a nerd who has no friends, so I spend all my time on music instead. Plus that I tend to remember all sorts of random facts about the music I love (they don't call me The Label Nerd for no reson )

sand leaper...do you really own a label?? i know you're the label nerd, but i didn't know you owned one hehehe?? anyway, all i have to say is that if i listened to a lot of the uplifting stuff that these contests usually consist of...i do a lot better hehehe...i'm sure that sandleaper got all those uplifting songs that i couldn't id hehehe...someday i'll win one of these
