It's called "watching the news once in awhile" and "The National with Peter Mansbridge". Try it sometime.

The correlation between fast food and cigs could be made if this were true:

I sit on the bus and eat a big mac, and the person next to me gets a little bit fatter.

Do you see where I'm going with this Smitty?

well execuse me guys while i dismiss this thread. I don't think smitty can support his arguments too strongly. Weak arguments deserve to be ignored.

i suggest u go do some reseach, write a 3 000 word essay about why smoking shouldn't be banned from public places. Use APA style manual to quote ur txt and make sure u quote every 2 to 3 sentences. I would love to read that. If i am convinced, i'll start a petition and make sure i get so many autographs. Then i will personally write an essay about it and send all the material to the government and ask them to review it.

yeah yeah...that's not the point I'm making. I was responding to the argument that smoking is a "health risk"....anyway, as I said, I'm a considerate smoker...I have maybe 7 a day and 1 or 2 in the club and usually go to the sky bar to do that when I'm at the Guv. I never blow smoke in anyone's face and if they have a problem with me smoking in their house, I go outside, etc. etc. But it pisses me off that people throw so much guilt on smokers, when there are so many other causes of cancer and unhealthy lifestyles.

I'm an idiot because I read the papers, watch the news and remember reports like this? Sorry if I don't spend 3 hours of my day trying to find the news link, but I have seen many reports on The National, as well as other programs, that have documented the slow decline of smoking (50 years ago, almost 75% of people smoked), and the rise in obesity.

I know how you feel,I've been to some bars and clubs there, and I loved it,it felt sooooo good, and for the first time in years I had no problem breathing normally inside a club,I cant wait till we get this law going here too!!

Enjoy your shortened life, Smits. It's probably better that way anyways.

I'm done trying to reason with idiocy.
