My coworker use to call trance "Euro-Tech rave crap". Also, some people are convinced that "Rave" is a genre and others argue endlessly that DnB and Jungle are two different things. |
Actually, i think that rave is a genre. Me and my fellow nationals call this thing we hear from our neighbours (Spain) the "spanish rave". I think the spanish people call it Rave too.
It is actually electronic music difficult to classify, because it has many eurodance elements, but it a happy hardcore bassline and a few more acid sounds. It is very much like Nick Skitz, but with spanish samples and a much more faster and harder beat. It is one of the worst things i've listened.
I don't know how big is it in Spain 'cause i've never been to a spanish rave party, but just that you know, house is usually considered the biggest scene in the iberian peninsula, with a truckload of labels based in Spain and a truckload of dj's here in Portugal. However, i've never seen a house party in the TV, but i see spanish rave parties all the time, with lots of people dancing and usually a dj with a good technique playing.
If you want to know more, listen to 666 - Alarma, it's easy to find on soulseek...
