Haha, no kidding. I was right in front of him. Pissed me right off. I went to see Ferry, not to see him dance.
Ferry was pure class. Walks in the front door at about ten after nine and just hangs out with everyone taking pictures and chatting until his set at 11. During his set there were people dancing on the speakers right in front of Ferry (the guy with the orange Atari shirt for example) and he didn't seem to mind. All through his set every minute of two there would be people wanting to snap pictures with him and shake his hand, again he didn't mind, he was more than happy to do it. I know if I were in his shoes it would be somewhat annoying since I would want to see my audience and focus more on mixing, but he was all cool with it. The only time he had a problem with anything was when there were too many people danicing on the speakers during punk and the vibrations caused the record to skip while everyone was singing along. At that point he had everyone clear off the speakers, I don't blame him.
The set was awesome as well. Some of the other tracks that I remember him playing are:
Sublime
Kyoto
Right of Way
Second Sun
My Thing
Velvet Morning
I can't remember any others besides the ones already mentioned.
Anyways, great set, great night, great guy.
