i've joined this thread a little late...

what makes me laugh about this article is that these nazi lovers spay painted swaztikas(sp) on a jewish place of worship because of a film that celebrates the murder of a jew.

Might have something to do with the fact that Schindler's List was based on a real account of a real event, whereas the Passion is a warped, convoluted account of an event that possibly never happened.

Even the scholarly Catholic societies hate the movie (read the link I posted earlier, which I'm sure none of you have bothered to do) because it reinforces stereotypes within Christianity that they were hoping had been done away with for good. Regardless of whether or not it directly induced anyone to commit hate crimes, it sure as hell isn't helping the situation.

If these people are carrying out violence to Jews or whatnot, and use the bible or the film to use it as evidence, it has the same validity as it would with the Germans and any film to do with the Holocost (spl) - even saving private ryan touched me when that German fella slowly killed that bloke with the knife, but u didnt see e waving a knife around at any German ppl i know right?

I was reading a Macleans article on Passion of Christ recently, and they said there was historical records of jesus. Macleans said the records only said that there was a man named Jesus and that he caused a lot of problems and then he was executed(I think thats all there was).
