My point is that some events should be about the music. If you only let in those who are there for the music you will get rid of the losers, idiots and skids that you are trying to keep out with stupid dress codes. Plus the vibe of the party would increase substantially.

update!!
I stopped by Lucid today once more. The place is in full construction and the last bits of demolition are being torn away. The office was all busy and stuff.
I asked for a more specific date when they expect to be open fo business... and I was told it'll be about 6 to 8 weeks. That's not quite Spring seasion anymore (as per their posters), but anytime before Summer's over sounds good.
i went by there last week as well and the place looks really unfinished.. looks like someone couldn't hold their wad and jumped the gun on their openning date announcement..

WICKED! I love huge, spacious places...
I can breath...I can breath, and now even better with no smoking. It's all coming together now.
I'm just scared of the cover charge.

Well I am a true "Guvernment Groupie" but it would be nice to see another great club come to Toronto. The only downfall by the sounds of it is the 2pm close.....What is up with that???? How can we hear a good set from all our amazing DJ's if they have to shut it down at 2am. Anyways all the best to this club, it is always nice to have a nice place to party.

Hrm, now three clubs in Toronto with extreme venues; Boa, Guvernment and Lucid... Well we'll check out Lucid when it opens, but after Boa I'm gonna take a lot of convincing to switch clubs.
