j@y,
Well I kinda was addressing your comments at the bottom of my post but I didnt wanna say it directly because that is not what this thread is about. I'll just say that many people have many different definitions of trance, and some people like it more than others, there is no artist that is 100% absoloute "better" than any other.

So the dude that posted reason 78 likes trance better than Vitalex, or hasn't heard of them/him/her/it/whatever, no big deal really, I havent either and Im gonna look em up because you said somethin. You can't go around saying people's opinions are wrong just because they aren't yours, and I'm pretty sure you know that yourself. I'm guessing you were just trying to get a rise out of someone.

And your earlier posts where you said something about trance guys think that their music is the best and no other EDM is worth anything or whatever it is that you said.

Thats bullshit none of us ever said that, and you have no way of telling what we think.

Here, we give the reasons why we enjoy trance. We mention things about it that appeals to us. We all assume that the things we like about trance can happen in other genres as well, but that is not the point of this thread, so we don't talk about it.

We also are aware of the world we live in, and that nothing is 100% pure and beautiful and amazing, but our favorite trance music(whatever subselection of trance that may be) has that kind of effect on us, and it is here in this thred that we celebrate it.

So nobody replied to you probably because nobody cares about what you said, if you don't enjoy trance, and are trying to learn something about the people who do, then by all means keep reading, If your trying to convince others not to enjoy trance then keep trying, but this thread might not be the best place to do it.

I actualy liked the jPx post on the simplicity of trance. There is a certain beauty about simple melodies that not everyone is able to enjoy. Is did seem a bit sarcastic though, but there is no way to tell because I am just reading letters on a screen. If you need complexity to enjoy music, there is a list several miles long of trance music that is very complex, and some people's reasons have already mentioned som of the more complex things trance has to offer.

At the end of it all we are just trying to listen to music and have fun, no matter what music that might happen to be, why must things conflict so much?

Before you try it, I know I have typos, bad grammar, lack of punctuation, mispelled words, words that might not exist, but I don't really care and the people who can read my posts don't either, so there is no point in pointing out "errors" in my post and saying that I am stupid.

I thought of more reasons too:

124) Glowstick ninja's

125) TA's that are so nice that they invite you to travel long distances to big parties, then offer you a place to sleep after the party is over, just because they want you to come out and have a good time. even though you don't know them from adam(THANK YOU!!!)

126) Knowing that wherever you go, there are good parties and friendly people.

127) Being able to simply post a message about being low on cash, and the TA that has the connections getting you in for cheaper just so you can come out

128) You don't have to be a DJ in order to be able to get some music to listen to. DJ culture definately has less of a stranglehold over trance than it does the other genres

Unworldly, You are my hero. I'm so tired of people using TA as a place to pick fights and put down others. You've expressed so eligantly what I've always felt. In a world dominated by Clear Channel, TA is one of the few places where trance lovers can go to celebrate their music. This thread exemplifies that spirit and makes me proud to be a Trance Addict.

Now that's something I resound with! If we ever go to court against the technosnobs (meaning, chinstroking elitists across all branches of TECHNOlogically-based music), I'd like to be on your defense team! It would be an honor

133. Because a fine buildup and breakdown on the dancefloor are just TOO enjoyable, like a sonic orgasm!

Celebrate trance, celebrate life.

there probably aren't many people left who only listen to trance music, if there even were any in the first place.

136) Trance is not a genre, it is a state of mind, which any form is music is capable of creating.

137. Trance exhibits so many moods, it can make you feel happy, sad, euphoric, but mostly, alive...
