the velfarre story is funny to me for several reasons... 1. velfarre gets alot of hype as having the best equipment in japan. 2. velfarre is owned by yojis record label. you would think that they would have fixed it, or switched him to the main dj booth at the back of the dance floor.... he had every right to walk off.

To be quite honest, Velfarre has a lot of good technology running through it, but the sound system is by far NOT the best for Tokyo clubs...

Now, you say Velfarre is owned by Yoji's record label... which record label are you talking about? Yoji has his own label being Hellhouse Recordings... he is also under contract with Avex Traxx, and Avex is the label that owns Velfarre...

as for Yoji himself, ill just say that Yoji has a major attitude problem... he sees himself as some major rockstar when he's in his home country... nobody can get near him at all... he's not like other "superstar" DJs when they come to Japan, where you can BS with them and even have a drink with them at times... I remember when i talked to Yoji backstage after his final "Viva" night (my friend had him booked for Denver, I was the liason for him) and Yoji just had this hella arrogant attitude... as i was leaving, i remember hearing him rant off all over his agent for letting someone backstage...

good dj, can really work a crowd, but i have no respect for his attitude...

but the djs before & after him had absolutely no problems

That could have to do because afterwards there were more people in the room ? Just guessing, in his early years he didn't get full rooms like nowadays I spinned into this hallway once, well, not a hallway, it was an old metro station (closed), you know what shape I'm talking about now right ? It had terrible echo I couldn't make sence of what was mixing and what was in beat or not. If I heared a kick in my headphones, I would hear it back a second later from the echo lol, insane. Moved the monitors closer and didn't have any trouble anymore.

A finnish rock band, The Rasmus, had a knife thrown at them from the audience. It hit the singer on the neck, luckily it wasn't the sharp end.

Also, one of the finnish Idols was performing at a freebie outdoor festival and had broken bottles thrown at him. One of them hit a dancer in the arm and she was hurt pretty badly.

Needless to say the band(s) walked out of stage on both accounts.

I think that he was having problems with the mixer or something because I remember that there was a point where there was NO music playing for about 2 minutes.

was that the time that Dekoze came on after Tiesto and destroyed the place?

I was surprised that Tiesto left so early too...what a fuckin twat! From the looks of it there's equipment problems everywhere Tiesto spins. I guess the damn clubs should take better care of their shit.
