I don't like prog, but as a DJ I like Sasha way better. Tiesto's productions are ok, but imo Sasha's are still better

well let's see. tiësto's stuff that i've heard lately hasn't impressed me at all (parade of the athletes for example was total shit IMO), BUT he has played just the kind of music i want to hear in the past and he has produced many many brilliant tracks IMO. dunno how he is know really, as i haven't heard a set by him in a long while. gonna see him in 2 days though.
and then there's sasha. he's made some great productions too, altho most of them aren't really my cup of tea. he's technically much better than tiësto and he plays good music too, BUT IMO he plays more shit music than tiësto too and involver for example was total crap IMO. there were good tunes (youngsters - smile (saha edit) for example is one of the best tunes i've heard in a long while), but the mixing was totally shit IMO, he stayed on beat and all ofcourse, but it was dead boring, the transitions i mean. the whole cd just didn't have any spark IMO. and then there was that god awful felix da housecat tune.
i should look better into the old sasha though, as i haven't been into him too much ever, but his current style i don't like.

overall i have to go with tiësto, altho he has been disappointing lately. tiësto has gotten me more into a good mood than sasha overall so i choose him.

Sasha... because I feel his style is much more genuine and unique. Although I would prefer trance over prog (hmm... guess b/c I spin trance).

I've actually started to get into Sasha recently. I may soon have to rethink my decision, but not just yet

Here is my reasoning. Sasha is a not only a great producer, but an amazing dj. If he were to go back to trance he would make Tiesto look silly in a heartbeat. Not only that Sasha is talented enough to know how to transition between different styles during a mix where as Tiesto has and probably always will play trance and only trance in a mix.
