1. dreading the drive down to fairfax to stay at friend's

we always stay at the Holiday Inn Washington Capitol. Its near the capitol, less than 2 miles from glow... on 6th and C St SW. its a really nice hotel, and they'll let you have extended checkout til 2 at no extra charge.
