How do you like the E30? Is it reliable? Parts expensive? I was thinking of getting an E30 325is or E34 525i

parts aren't expensive as i thought. go to maxbimmer.com theres a good thread for buying an e30. i haven't had any thing bad happen. example on parts, i got all 4 pads and rotors shipped for $375. motor on my car is strong still and i keep up with the maintence.
its a very fun car to drive and feels solid. i've driven other cars and it just doesn't feel the same to drive as my car even if its 18 years old.

nice didn't know we had some car junkies in here too

with the whole n/a vs f/i debate its really just opinion vs opinion on which one is better blah blah

personally i'm a fan of both after driving a really quick n/a and a really quick f/i car - they're 2 totally different cars yet run the same at the track

the power delivery is like night and day...n/a its constant pulling u back furthur into your seat...f/i is just like "boom" fullboost and u get slammed into the seat

i just prefer the big bang after a nice spoolup

tuning is tough, i have a piggyback ecu on the wrx and doing it yourself takes a lot of patience and small increments/decrements in order to get the right number, be it idc's, timing, wgdc's....

but the payoff is wellllll worth it in the end when you have good supporting mods

Get the 325is. Solid, solid car. There'll be nothing left of the chassis and the electrical system, but that inline-6 will keep pulling like a workhorse. The one our family has (which was passed down to me and will soon be passed down to my sister) has almost 400K on the odometer, and this is with the most minor of maintenance. I think we even only changed the timing belt once, if that.

Plus, they look friggin AWESOME after a drop and some wheel upgrades. E30 is still one of my favourite if not the favourite BMW bodystyle ever produced.

RAWR!!

King Luis, at first glance, I thought your license plate said "TWAT". I laughed.
