i'm not that religious either but JPII definitely had an energy about him and when i saw him out my window on the streets of my city in poland, i was immediately linked to him. such an aura around him. really trying to make the world a better place in the best way he knew how, selflessly. you all should be as luck to know of such people and learn from them.
it really makes me sad that there are malicious people that ON PURPOSE turned this thread into being about THEM and how THEIR life is so inconvenienced that the Pope's life is being celebrated in the media. Suck it up! Live with it, because the rest of us have to live with all you here in Earth.

maybe for some of us, it hit home. in my case, as i said in the first page, my grandpa has parkinsons. the pope dying from complications with parkinsons (and a whole lot of other issues) reminds me my grandpa is so ill, and he gets worse and worse every week. the battle is hard.
that is my explanation.
negative people in this thread please fly the coop.
Wiecznie zywy w naszych sercach. Umarl jedyny Polak z ktorego mozna byc bylo bardzo dumnym.
Wieczne odpoczywanie....

the bottomline is, people who mourn are those who had a connection with the person who passed away. if maxtuh's parents or cyrus kings god DJ tiesto passed away i wouldnt GIVE A SHIT because they had no impact on my life HOWEVER, out of RESPECT to their feelings, i would just avoid the thread all together (assuming there was one). if i did have questions i would inquire in a respectful way. why? because others ARE affected by this and you/we have to take that into consideration & respect that....YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THAT. there is a right way of doing things and clearly both members i mentioned above approached this the wrong way...
just my thoughts,
goodnight!
Im still not convinced why there is such a "loss". What was so great about the man? He was appointed by an ecclesiastical institution to lead billions in a religious faith.
Why are you all sad?
I want to know. Ive tried doing research on his "achievements", but cant find what hes done that has made so many so sad.
I think what it comes down to is that many christians just have to feel sad becuase he leads their religion. If you are not.. then you are going to hell
