no cd today boy luke, the belgian postal workers where ON STRIKE
It'll be here by monday I guess ...
T0ast => I know a lot about trance, mixing techniques, ... and I know more than enough to judge the mixes, but i can't tell the difference between a good MP3-mix or a vinyl-mix.
The only way I'm gonna find out is when you tell me it was one, or when you have your software fuck it up when matching BPM's or something, ... so don't worry, And I'm sure the other judges will be fair also,
RavingLunatic knows a SHITLOAD about trance, mixing, ... he isn't mixing for long (i thought) but he sure as hell is motivated
DjDawn is ONE HELL OF A DJ, ... take my word for it
the other judges I don't know but, ... they'll be honest ... trust me

Don't worry dude, I won't be biased, I mix mp3s everyday, and vinyl whenever I can. I listen to trance pretty much 24/7, all day at work, I listen to www.di.fm or www.tagstrance.com. then on the way to and from work, I listen to my MD, usually with my own recorded mixes on it. then when I get home I usually throw on some trance.
so, yeah, don't worry, I won't be biased. use whatever you like, damn, plug in a mike to the mixer and start beatboxing for all I care.. it's all just fluctuations in air pressure..
I'll give you good marks if it makes me wanna dance.

do not worry toast, i have no bias, that is what rules are for. i just don't like cheats, as you saw in that thread with the mix made by acid. i'm sorry if i confused you earlier, but my main concern was sequenced mp3 mixes. i have the abitily to tell these with certain tweaks that can be made in vst to enhance sound and what not. i have been into trance since around 97 when i first heard chicane - offshore, and i asure you that nothing will get past the judges if it doesn't get past me first. i only know one way that sequenced mixes will get past me, and i'm not saying a word until all mixes are in, then i will tell you. and i wish good luck to everybody, except those who try to cheat, although im sure you won't be trying that now, you have been warned.
