i know i am a little late in posting this, but i am out of practice. i think in the 6 months ive lived in south florida i have been out 5 or 6 times... how sad is that?
well, i arrived at about 445am, weaseled my way through the unmoving line, inch by inch, finally making it to the front. only to hear 'girls amd couples only. we got a freakin sausage fest in here... no offense guys.' well, none taken mr big bouncer door man. i saw poeple getting pushed away from the door, escorted away by police. but i didnt move. i pre-paid for my ticket, screw you, im getting in. i politely asked if this was the right line for pre paid tix... only to stand around for a another half an hour.
but my chagrine (sp?) was quickly relieved when i walked in to hear paul playing a personal favorite, -higher state of consciousness-. that alone made my night.
i fought my way to the front where i ran into amy and proceeded to watch the man at work. a great set i must say especially the nu nrg remix of u2. i couldnt have been happier with the feel, the energy, the vibe. and pvd was in quite good spirits for a man who has just put in a marathon mixing session over the last 48 hours.
then it was time for edgar v. now i know i will be hated for saying this, but... i felt let down after pvd. the music was kind of bland and everyday sounding. but i am getting old (it was my 27th birthday) besides my real desire was to see max on the terrace. paul was just a bonus. but, i had already been up for 36 hours, 18 of those spent working. and amy was a little worse for wear in her sizes too small new sandals. so we decided to scrap the night early and head of into the sunrise for breakfast.
all in all a successful birthday celebration
i hope this is the beginning of more regular outings. see y'all at crobar next monday
