House is the staple music of the gay community, and I can't believe most houseaddicts fail to admit the truth (calling trance gay and house straight as hell), and I'm not a gay basher, I just speak the truth, and that's where house music history started and is rooted in.

well PvD is still trance and there's proof that trance is changing... it's merging with countless other genres in the very own productions and livesets. House is changing too and merging with other genres, but still I prefer the energy found in trance, not the disco rhythms in house. I don't know why these house artists come out of nowhere to bash trance when all it is a 70s or 80s disco 2 bar loop over and over again. Please trance is NOT monotonous when you compare it to house music.

and btw my sets are different in styles... yes I do some 1998 style trance ones, but check out my latest one vol6 http://www.gerrycueto.com/download.html lots of variety in there and never gets monotonous. Yes I too am realizing that trance is supposed to take you on a journey but most trance sets fail to do that, instead they take you in a journey in circles... well anyway vol6 unlike my last promos is a true journey, not a journey in circles.

link was messed up...i will give it a listen though if i can dl it...and i meant oxymoronic in the fact that u calling sander fruity when u produce what by some is considered fruity...all thigs aside we prolly have to agree to disagree on this one though...sander rocks u dont think so and that is really the end...put up a link that works then i can listen to ur new set...and the whole gay thing...i dont see the deal there that has no bearing on the sound of the musik

sorry there were "..."'s in the last post.

nope, i'll have to disagree... house has far more ability to be fruitier than anything trance (since house is the staple gay music like i said), no matter if it is as cheesey as Alice Deejay, it's still not as fruity as some of the house out there. "The Fruit" although it's not dead on 4 on the floor house, it's cheesier than any trance ever released... and I'd rather be listening to Dj Sammy over that shit.

Like I said I can't stop laughing when a househead goes out on a limb to tell me house is straight as fuck, while trance is gay and fruity... when they failed to look up the history on their own music. I mean yeah there is some brands of house that sounds "cooler" than some brands of trance, but as a whole... sorry trance wins the nonfruity competition =)

ok im not trying to get into this little flame war at all, however i must voice my opinion in the matter.

1st off, calling a style of music "gay" is pointless. i dont think all gay people listen to one kind of music. if they did there would be a genre of music called "gay" or if we are gonna be PC, we can call it "homomusic"

2nd, to judge an artist based on their genre is GAY!!!! in every genre (not just EDM) there are true artists, there are sellouts, there are puppet performers, and there are your one-hit wonder wanna-be's.

3rd, if you havent seen sander on the terrace STFU RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the man has been quoted many times saying that the space terrace is one of his favorite places in the world to spin. he allways brings it right at space.

4th, trance is my first love in EDM and allways will be. PvD will never be anything less that numero uno in my book.

5th, Sander will certainly own my ass, like he allways does, on the 22nd. and i promise, if you open up to him, and give him an HONEST chance, he will own yours too. see you all on the terrace!

descent amount of good prog and I've never dissed prog or said i didn't like it, infact it's very good... what I dislike like i've said 5 times already is that disco-sounding afro-wig wearing house, and to me that isn't prog at all.

wow, if you are talking about sander, you are just plain stupid, sander is more progressive than ANY DJ ive ever heard. i think you need to break open a dictionary and learn what progressive actually means!

and please refer to my 3rd point in my above post, i have a feeling it applies to you.
