has anyone here played the online game final fantasy? two of my friends play it religiously and have clocked up over 3 months of actual playing time

I played WoW a few months back and thought it was the most boring game ever, all you ever do is run about the place. and the combat! you could just click once, go and make yourself a ham and cheese croissant and by the time you come back your enemy was only then nearly dead. too slow for me.
Played FEAR a month or two ago, I liked it, but youre right, once you played one level, you've played them all... hide, lean shoot, lean, reload, lean, shoot... etc.
pck, how is x3? i'm thinking of getting it... looks pretty sweet 
Mind you, I've been having compulsions to reinstall System Shock 2, probably one of my all time favourite games ever. Oh and I wish Red Alert played on windows XP, there's nothing that comes close to that game, no frills, just nail biting war. I love that game, it's awesome how much you can really just hold on for dear life playing it and somehow just hold on... lol, those were the days...
