Yeah, I agree

I think the Colts RB spot might be like the Broncos and KC... but not hard nose runners, but more Marshall Faulk, catch and run position... I think if you plug anyone in there who is quick and can do the run and catch... that back will succeed... I actually like the upside to Rhodes in that spot... as long as he doesn't get hurt... I think he'll do fine...

Certainly a decent upgrade over Grossman or Orton, though not a long term solution imo

Yeah, if the 25th best QB in the NFL is your thing.... he's better than what they got but not anything to get excited about. Especially for 5 years.

More interesting.. Butters, your favorite QB is going to the Ray-Duh's. Aaron Brooks signed a 2 year deal.

imo about the colts , i think they took a step down as a team . i don't think a combination of rbs (rhodes, mungro, fill in name here) can compare to what edge gave to the colts . edge , on a good day, could be easily be compared to tomlinson, alexander, and portis.

imo about the raiders, should this be an upgrade or a downgrade ? kerry collins can have those sketchy days now and again, throwing 3 tds one day, and 5 ints the next, but aaron brooks is more sketchier than collins. brooks not only throws the interceptions, but he helps you see those negative numbers as total yards during a game. i don't see any success with aaron brooks at oakland.

imo about the bears and brain griese , i have mixed feelings about this. obviously this guy has some talent, since his dad has a couple of rings, right ? or maybe he needs what his dad got when he was playing with miami .... some power running backs to support him ? (kiick, morris, and csonka) ? well the a-train and benson certainly could help him somewhat, and hopefully muhammad would show up next year for the bears .

I think if Brooks is given the freedom to roll out and make plays like he did in his first 2 years he can be succesful with The raiders

hate to put the pats under a microscope, but according to the FA list, they have lost

Andre Davis
Tim Dwight
Christian Fauria
David Givens
Willie Mcginist
Tyrone Poole
Adam Vinateri

and released

Chad Brown
Duane Starks

and a big name that is currently unrestricted is Tom Ashworth (offensive lineman) .

some big names to fill, and some key role players that helped the team last year.

they still have deion branch and bethel johnson, but they can only do so much for tom brady.

maybe so. maybe the saints pretty much sucked because our offensive coordinator was Mike Sheppard , and he knew jack about "the west coast offense" . during the good days (early 2000 - 2002) , it was Mike McCarthy, who did a good job with handling brooks, before moving on to better things.

What's wrong with Griese? He went 5-1 last year and had alot to do with why Chris Simms took the Bucs to the playoffs. Griese played under Elway and is only 31. Im not sure they expect him to stay for all 5 years but he is a good move for a team that would have been awesome last year if they could score points. If he can lead them to a Super Bowl he can ride off into the sunset or try to negotiate another deal later on. Grossman or Orton have to improve sometime...

i give credit where credit is due what griese has done in the past @ denver and @ tampa . i do think he is a step above grossman and orton (put together obviously) . however, i can't downplay much about grossman, because he has just been hit with bad luck early in his career. as for kyle orton, that's another story. i don't want to pop out a "clean up in aisle 5" quote for him, because i know this guy has some talent in him .. he's a tall agile quarterback that sometimes makes slow decisions .. the good thing is that he doesn't make mistakes (ala kerry collins and aaron brooks)

Pats signed Reche Caldwell - And I loved him two years ago when he had those crazy fantasy outings... And ANY WR will thrive with Tom Brady, I love this signing...

PLUS, Keyshawn and possibly Moulds are on the market...

Fauria was a great tool, always seemed to make a big TD catch when called upon... but its Ben Watson's time... and Daniel Graham... no worries there...

Willie McGinest, god love him for the past, but he's old, if they re-signed him I would have been pissed... got Roosevelt and Vrabel... no need for the old man willie...

And.... a week of free agency.....and we got the draft in a few.... no worries...
