men's speedskating 1500m will be interesting, with 4 Gold medalists from the US - Chad Hedrick, Shani Davis, Joey Cheek, and the defending champ from 2002 Derek Parra
A sweep sure seems like a possibility

Apparently, TV ratings for curling have been quite high in the US

Actually, when the girls figureskate its not that boring. They wear those skirts and its always fun to watch them fall on their touchies.

Ice dancing has been more interesting, though perhaps for the wrong reasons, with all the falls
Supposedly it has something to do with the new scoring system, making the pairs try to do more difficult moves

After that Italian pair's performance in the Original Dance, you could clearly see how pissed (or perhaps stunned) they were

Canada takes Gold in women's ice hockey - they allowed only 2 goals in the whole tournament

is anyone else REALLY pissed about the way nbc is broadcasting the olympics? i hate it! their primetime coverage just jumps from one sport to the next to the next. and of course you gotta sit through the crap to actually see what you want to watch. god forbid you change the channel for a second and you miss what you were hoping to watch. they save the best shit for last, so you gotta stay awake till 11:30 to catch it! dont they realize some people gotta wake up early in the morning? i want live coverage god damn it! and not ice hockey and curling live. why is it that the WORST sports are the ones they are broadcasting the most? no wonder they are getting horrible ratings.

and btw adding snowboarding to the olympics was the worst move ever!
