Roseland is def. a better place for PVD. I love the venue, spacious, a lotta room to dance. The party was great, especially the lasers. PVD was doing his usual in NYC, I expected him to play more tech tunes, but I guess he realized that they are new yorkers tune.

that's the only word I think I can use to describe sat night. I was up front, dead center, for the entire show. I enjoyed the entire set, start to finish. People who complain about the slow down at about 4-4:30... that's what Paul seems to do. But he always brings it back up from a chill mid-set. As far as the speakers - guess you were too close to them - like I said, I was up front the whole time, and my ears are fine. I def liked the venue - very professionally handled, plenty of space to dance, good AC, good sound, good lights/lasers... just all around good

Highlight of the night for me:
PVD dropping Yellow B-bird - Superfly. I held up a little piece of paper with that title printed on it for him to see at the beginning of the show. He saw it and nodded, but I figued, come about 5:30, that he had forgotten it. Then I heard the first few notes of the song and I just went nuts... I got the smile and thumbs up from Paul (he probably thought I was insane)...

i was ready to go but moving out into a new house and renovating my room there all this week had me wiped out by saturday. i would have been dead tired by 2 or 3 am so i didnt go.

from reading the reviews, i dont think i would have had the best time either. i wasnt crazy about the nov set at roxy and most of the people loved that show. it seems that pvd has changed his style towards a techy sound for most of the set and that just isnt what i want to hear. as where he used to be my favorite dj and i had the best time at the old roxy shows and around 02-04, i'm just not into it anymore.

i'm going to summerstage, but it seems that i didnt miss too much by skipping this show. the money i had spent on the tickets for this show a while back would have been useful at the supermarket yesterday when i stocked up on food for the new place.

what has happened to the old pvd? i miss him.

I had a great time up untill the point I found Brianna totally wasted, stumbling all over the place around 2am....she had to go to the bathroom so she went back upstairs where there was no line (the bouncer would not let me up there because I didn't have the all access pass.) An hour went by and she never came back down so I knew something was wrong. After several failed attempts to get by the bouncer I finally ran into Jay who went to get one of the bouncers to tell them what happened. They escorted me upstairs where I finally found Sandman (Billy) walking Brianna to the rest room.....she was a mess.....came out of the bathroom and got sick so we had to leave. We figured out that somebody must have slipped something into her drink because she only had a few drinks and Bree can deff handle her shit. She said the bartender upstairs mixed her drinks with his back turned which seems pretty shady if you ask me. Thank god Billy was there to take care of her....and thank god I didn't just blow the situation off. Things like this happen in this scene and you never think that it can happen to you or your girlfriend/friends but I was wrong. If I ever find out who did this I'm gonna rip their damn head off and shit down their throat lol.

Anyways it was great seeing everybody out....great finally meeting the TOTA's and the ones I already know. Sorry we couldn't hang out longer.....shit happens. Now post those damn pics!!!

Also, the WE are most people who have seen PvD more than once. I completely agree that Crush, TOOL and NBY should be removed for at least 2 years from all PVD gigs. They are just boring, old and overplayed. Crush is 'ok', but wayyyyy too long (I bet it's at least 20 minutes, with about 40 breakdowns).

The first 3 hours were great, 3-5 was utter crap, 5-6 was 'ok' to 'good' with the expection of the usual TOOL and NBY.
