Alright so after driving around Oakville and Mississauga and picking everyone up we headed down to the guv. Got there at around 730 and there was already a lineup to the hot dog dude. We contemplated going in and waiting with the people but chose to stay in the warmth of the car and catch up on valuable drinking and yelling to Chemical Brothers time. A half an hour and a few Revs later, they decided to start letting the people in but by now the line up was nearly up to the streetlight. The line moved quickly and we waited only for about 20 minutes, which was extremely good news because I was getting Lawrer flashbacks. Got in right on time to listen to Freeland drop the dirty breaks. Ive listened to him before but first time seeing him live, wont be my last for sure.
I was in shock over the variety in the crowd. There was people with Mohawks standing beside Parasucoed out ginas and people wearing marlyn manson shirts next to people wearing polo shirts. Definite variety and everyone somehow got along. Very wicked to see and confirmed my theory on music bringing people together.
When Prodigy came on, everyone including myself was in disbelief. For me Prodigy and Scooter were the introduction to electronic music and to finally see them live was unreal.
They kicked ass playing every single hit, and with every single song the crowd got crazier and crazier. People were crowd surfing, there were mosh-pits and everyone was jumping like no tomorrow. The first hit which they dropped was Their Lawm everyone went nuts and you could barely hear anything over the non stop screaming. They ended up playing Firestarter, Poison, Breath, Voodoo People, Wake the Fuck up, No Good, Outer Space. Basically I was completely musically satisfied.
The line up for the coat check was about an hour long but having more than a couple Revs in me I managed to stay entertained. And int the process met a couple very cool people.
Basically music rocked, people were awesome and the night kicked ass. Hope to see them again but highly doubt it.
I met a shitload of people and everyone was cool. I do not know if I met any TAs, but I might have. If anyone remembers me please say something.
Five Lennin thumbs up out of five.
