On behalf of Ben and I both thanks for the kind words re interview, philby - it's exactly that 'vibe' that we've always been after with all our interview-branded events be it at Tilt, a warehouse, a recovery or anywhere else. It's something no amount of lasers, smoke machines and podiums can replace and IMO it's what makes a party fun.
I think it's important to remember, though, that (at least the way I understood it) Obsession was meant as a 'big room' party modelled after the UK superclubs, so in fairness its vibe will come with the full room that increased popularity will bring. When Room is properly filled (ie Satoshi), the vibe is fantastic. If you find the vibe at Obsession flat, could it just be from the numbers in comparison to what you're used to for a big night at Room?
It's up to all of us as trance fans to support nights like Obsession so that we can build the numbers, so that future Obsessions have that Satoshi-like vibe too. As Scott said, no point complaining about there not being good nights if you're not actively building (or at least trying to) the nights that are already running.
