In everything I say/said, that should be applied. In a debate, notions can be misconstrued.
I am open-minded and accepting, but when a topic is on the table, I will speak my mind and give a recommendation based on my knowledge and experience.

many people are able to party at guv stone sober and enjoy it. honestly, the hardest thing about doing a full night (11pm till close) sober is getting hungry. once i managed to convince door ppl to let me bring in food, sober is easybreeezy. i'm not a sober partier, but a good friend of mine asked me once, if i couldn't party without the drugs, why was i partying at all? |
Don't get me wrong, I can party sober (I don't often make a late night out of it anymore as I can't deal with screwing my sleep schedule that much) - but sober or not, the crowd at the guv drives me insane. Music and drugs aside, I can't stand being around the people who frequent the guvernment. they are rude, pushy, disgusting, inconsiderate, and yes I am generalizing.
Jeff, I don't think it's unfair that people would like a headliner to come on before 4am. For people who lead 9-5 jobs, and don't work a retail or a bar/restaurant job and have to keep day hours M-F, staying up til 4am on a Friday night for the headliner to come on is near impossible without drugs since you've already been up since 6am Friday morning.
If you think the club crowd is overrun with drug use...the shit that goes on behind the decks is even more crazy. and expected, at times. I once didn't show to a club for a 6:30am set until 5am because I was sleeping. the owner looked at me like I should have been there all night. Sorry! I don't feel like being a total fucking sketchbag for my set.

| quote: | | I'm shocked at how people think that if they stick to pills or coke or G that they are safe. this stuff isn't regulated....you can't expect the same quality every time. not even between pills that are from the same dealer and look the same. there are ways to be SAFER about it, but you gamble everytime. |
One other very good point. I think that for the most part people that used drugs way back when have now seen the absolute crap that's readily available.
Also, you bring up a great point, going sober just gets to be too much for dealing with the pushy people, and man are there enough of those. This city just seems to be full of jerks.
Floorwhore, dude, do you see people crying becasue they don't make it out so late? Are we too uncool for you because some of us prefer to go home before noon the next day? I've gone all night many many times, and I dunno, maybe I'm just getting older, or maybe the scene is changing. Last two years I've seen headliners playing, on average, later and later. As for the music festivals, I still don't understand your comment. EDM in Europe for example, where its a considerably bigger scene than it is here, happens at all day festivals all the time. For the most part, you're absolutely right, it will stay where it is for now.
