So I can’t think of a better thread to make my first ever post in…
This venue became my second home when it was Boa and it will continue to be that now that it is Sonic.
I can’t even begin to tell you guys how great the place looks (and I am not being biased).
I think the best addition is the hardwood floors, not only do they look good but they are easy on the knees. I can’t see myself leaving this place in any pain after 12 – 15 hours of dancing.
The lighting, what can I say about the lighting, I am not normally one for light shows but I can’t wait to see what it can do.
Can’t say that I miss the stage, or the steps for that matter but it will take a little getting used to as I (as well as many others) was walking around there last night “looking” for them. I find that there is much more room to dance now.
As for the DJ booth, well I didn’t really get a great look at it last night, but when I was there on Monday it was looking good. I like how more open it is and how it gives the DJ a better feel for the party going on around him/her.
The décor is top notch. From the chandeliers in the seating area to the paintings on the wall you can feel the Moroccan vibe.
David, Nevio, Carey, and everyone else involved in preparation of Sonic, the place looks great. I never would have thought it could “clean” up so nicely. From the look on Carey’s face I could just tell that he just as excited as everyone else for the opening.
I hope to see everyone out on Saturday night. I will be there front and center (yes, right in the middle of the “car wash crew”  )
