Football isn't just a sport, to many people it's a language, a religion. We have countries in war or having just come out of war for example Ivory Coast & Togo in Africa, where the people are uniting for football, It's bringing entire nations together. The best thing is, you only need 1 piece of equipment, the ball for a game. Anyone can play, fit or not, and all walks of life too, all races. The atmosphere at some live games is just spine-tingling. I've been to games in foreign countries & not spoken hardly any of the language yet the people have enjoyed the game with me, knowing an appreciation of the game gives us something in common.
There are faults in the game, find me something in life there's not faults with. If you can honestly watch players such as Ronaldinho, Pele, Van Basten, Gullit, Lineker, Cruyff, Zico and thousands more and not be appreciative of their skills then fair enough, but if you're bashing for no reason, what's the point. I could easily pick apart the stupidity in some american sports. Baseball, let's see, thats just boring, American 'Football' well that's rugby for guys who need 30lbs of padding. Basketball, well I got love for that, it's fast paced but involves a lot of skill & works well. Ice Hockey. Who doesn't like organised violence? Point is, if you can't get into it, fair does, but if you're bashing because americans haven't picked up on it, wait lets see. bigger goalposts, lets make it quarters! etc then meh.
