Tracklist looks good. I would consider this an essential purchase for any trance DJ.

As far as the knocking of ATRC. I myself was never that bothered about it but I remember many music magazines, after criticising trance for some time, said this was the first great trance tune to appear in a while. It was hammered by every trance DJ for ages. The crowd response for this tune was massive whereever you went. After its release music mags were calling G&D saviours of trance. (a lot of hype I know but even so). From a persoanl experience, friends of mine who loved 90's trance but have now all moved on to other genres saying that trance has gone shit thought that As The Rush Comes was the last great tune they heard.

Like I said I myself wasn't that fussed but I think it definately deserves classic status. I think for every person on here saying its shit, there are 5 times as many people thinking its one of their favourite trance tunes.

On a seperate issue - System J, I usually think you speak sense but on this topic, you have been an utter twat.

Lovely.

My suspicions look confirmed at any rate. And I already own (counts) forteen of those unmixed so no reason to splash on it. The only one I'd really like unmixed which I don't already have is Armin's mix of Rapture.

This not only offers a great view of the biggestTrance Classics, but as there has been a complete change amongst the Dj’s from vinyl to CD, the 40 full versions are a perfect Djtool for the growing population of CD- DJ’s.

Mauybe i'm blind but they are saying that it will include 40 tracks. The tracklist is only 26 tracks, now here is something really fishy, lol

The site also says it's a tentative tracklist... probably just the confirmed tracks named. Looks like your standard 2000 / 2001 compilation, with just a few exceptions.

Yeah. I've got pretty much all those tracks, just "in a different order".

ATB's 9pm seems to be missing though.

PS: No Oliver Lieb...??

That was predictable as all hell. Surely they'd put some of the more underrated classics on there rather than just go for the generic cash in.

Looking at other posts saying 40 tracks, I'd be interested to see what the rest are. Hopefully not the usual suspects. Although getting all these on CD will be convenient, especially for the leechers out there who feel guilty.

exactly. there are already numerous compilations with more or less exactly the same tunes. no cool surprises at all
I hoped for some good tunes which were played on ASOT once which would make it here. Such as Beatpusher - Rokki. A massive tune which is shamelessly underrated.

I hope this tracklist is fake :/

i havent heard that tune but alot of tunes you mention are not the ones you associate with asot at all so if i were armin i would choose those you do associate with asot so the majority of the fans would be happy. Or you could go with the typicall classics such as gouryella, rank 1, armin, tiesto etc as i think it will be.

Rokki was played on ASOT back in 2001. I recommend you newcomers to lsiten to the first episodes of ASOT. Loads of great tunes back then.
