there are no popular use chord progressions a good rule of thumb is to just stay in key and your stuff will sound way better.

Of course there are popular chord progressions. Like the 12 bar blue chord prog for example.

Here's some. There's a lot of this around the net.
I think I-IV-V and I-V-IV are the most common in popular music.

For uplifting trance you wanna use mostly major chords and build your melodies from the major scale. What could be more simple than playing only the white keys on a keyboard (-> Cmaj)?

i would say about 90% of EDM uses VI VII i or some iteration of that. Especially post 2000.

you really dont need the pictures just read what he says find a key you like and use no more than 5 notes in each chord.

and come up with a chord progression you like. I used to be into uplifting back then but now more into progressive dark trance and deep house more of a feeling to it uplifting at times a bit too cheesy unless your rank1 airwave
