Overall a much better night than the ones at guv I have been to recently. Less packed, not that hot, not too many cracked out people.

I was basically there to see SVD and John Aquaviva...and then I stummbled upon Seb Fontaine just destryoing the drink...he was spot on the entire time he was up there.

Paul Oakenfold, granted I am not much of a (as I call) fluffy trance fan, but I could not stand more than 30 minutes of him. What I buzz kill. I took off to the drink early and Fontaine was unreal, I liked his sound, his mixing and overall tne Drink seemed to have a really dark, dirty gritting vibe....nevermind the insane amount of cloudsmoke machine stuff that was crazy....I want one of those things in my house.

Stayed there until halfish way through to John Aquaviva, who started hard, and progressed to a dark, deep...rythmic/bassy sound...seems like a classy guy.

Went back down to Second Sun, who seemed to be keeping everyone interested, I am not much for the Bon Jovi singing on prayer thing that the one guy does, but to each his own....they had a couple really nice tracks...but not holding my interst.

I wanted to see how the Dish was, dont know which guy it was....white shirt with a skull...whether or not I was feeling his sound, he get points for very much being into his sound, he had this look of intensity and focus on his mixing that I very much appreciate, like a Digweed looking intensity...very progressive, at times almost minimal, lots of popping, clicking and rolling basslines...

And SVD...wow. He was unreal, I turned to my friend and said this guy is going to be huge (I realise he already is) but I mean huge (ala Tiesto)...and by listenning to him last night, he deserves it, he was lots of fun, really into his sound and the crowd even into the wee hours were clearly in awe...Toronto loves Hard sounding trance and techno....why we dont get more of that I dunno.


One downside, bouncers...assholes, uneductated , meatheads, who will have 6 months of power in their life...I litterally saw one trying to pic a fight with a guy for taking a lemon...I think some of those guys are celebrating their own 10 year.

I think those who were in Kool Haus during Second Sun, towards the end will remember this moment...

well.. what can I say... overall fkn fantastic night!! one of the best ever nights @ guv!! got there at around 11 with andrea.. got in right away didnt have to wait which was awesome.. really cool fireworks outside and tribal drums... was luvin that.. miss nine was kickin it inside when we got in.. really banging sounds.. got to check dmonic in the orange room went to say hi..(ended up going there for some crystal method later who were playin old school punk sounds was very cool).. and headed to gallery to see vince/val (vinyljunkies) then headed to kh for some mark oliver.. then ran up to the drink for joe and fabs set which was fkn phenomenal.. after that went to see kt.. and oakie was going on.. soo awesome.. never dissapoints.. got to thank kenneth for a photo i took of him for dance to the beat and got his auto.. hah.. hilarious.. then took off to catch nic fanciulli in the main room who was kickin it.. luved it... then went back to the kh... for some second sun... who might I add topped off their g2 performance.. they just went buck wild.. stayed in the dj booth the rest of the night and just couldnt stop dancing.. haha.. got pics with 2nd sun, kt, & svd... ...cant wait to see those.. then when svd was done.. went to the main room for some dirty fkn deep dish... these guys never dissapoint.. i didnt stay until 10 like i did for their freedom set but i still got to rock it out until the wee hours of the morn...overall was such a great night and so happy to see sooo many familiar faces... and so many new ones... was so much fun tas!!! thanks guv for a great 10 year!! <3 im still in awe... haaha...

John Acquaviva - walked into the drink at around 3am, the heat was just unbearable, i started to sweat just from standing there. Acquaviva was really good. If it wasn't for svd i would have probably stayed in there all night, crazy tunage.. 9/10

Second Sun - i don't know about these guys, like they seem to enjoy the stuff they play while others just don't. Little fluffy trance with a guy singing like a backstreetboy, i don't know, just not my type of shit. Some pounding tracks here and there but meh.. Plus overplaying their set for 40minutes definitely made my mood even worse. 5/10

SANDER VAN DOORN OMFG, FUCKING AMAZING will be an underestimation, the dirtiest techfucktrance that makes you wanna rip the fucking hair off your head. Good thing i have a shaved head..
unforgettable, the guy seemed to play whatever i wanted him to play, every single track i wanted to hear he played it. YELLO - OH YEAH WOW and then a whisper from Nada "Armin who?". At the end managed to take a pic with him, what an awesome guy.

Deep Dish - i don't know what they played prior to me walking in but at around 7:45am when i walked in the beats were just crazy, dirty dark 8am tunes lol, so many sketchy people everywhere. The weirdest part was seeing ali dubfire on the dance floor. Like literally in the middle of the dance floor dancing with some girl lol. Loved the music but just could not stay any longer,left around 8:30am. 9/10

overall amazing night, one of the best nights i've had in the guv/kh in a really long time. Nada post the vids, Ali was filming SVD for like 40minutes straight lol
