I have no grudge against the console systems per se, but why spend another grand on games when you can have everything you possibly want (internet, gaming, school/work stufsf, video editing, all that jazz)on a kick ass computer system like mine for under $2500 that lasts you several years with upgrades?
What I am so angry about is that there are bidding wars between PC developers and the consoles for hot titles like Call of Duty. That fucking franchise was born on the PC, now they stop making them and opt for the systems because they shelled out more money. IT's just a way for corporations to try to make us spend more of our fucking money to get the things we want. I'm going to resist it as much as I can, but being able to play as Canadian soldier in WW2 in COD3 is mighty appealing... |
I know what you mean, but two things I gotta say to that:
1) In general, its a totally different flavour of gaming on a console versus a PC. I'm a pc guy, and will always stay the same, but Gran Turismo and MGS will just never be the same experience on a PC.
2) Right now I'm just tired of upgrading. I spent 700 on a new CPU and video card last March...and I can barely keep up with the games out there right now...
