i might be the last one to post in this thread, who knows, but...

i like to read comments of videos on youtube aftr i watch the videos and i was so shocked at some of the remarks. someone said they gained respect for kramer, people were saying it's the funniest thing they ever saw, people said it was no big deal.

i don't find it funny when people call each other ethnic slurs. why would i laugh at an asian being called a "ch*nk" or a white person a "cr*cker"? a lot of young people have no fucking sense today.

and to wizniz who said +1 to your dad, you're correct because you've met all the black people in the world and can agree with your dad. sure thing.

You would agree that is not to be taken lightly in all contexts though. I agree that sometimes it is necessary to let things slide to diminish the potential for conflict, as Richards should have done with the heckling, but when someone insinuates that in other times he would've had you lynched for bothering him while he speaks, I don't agree that that is to be taken lightly. Even when given the context it could be interpreted as being a "joke".

Still, a pretty weak attempt at cleaning up the situation. It shows he regrets what he said, but obviously the damage is already done.

On the surface, people make such a fake show of respect for other cultures.

But the slightest provocation tends to bring out the real racist self from within. Sad.
