John 00 Fleming. He has some rabid fans on here - including myself - but he really is under appreciated. Loves his fanbase, pushes boundaries, very versatile, CONSTANTLY delivers, yet is as humble as they come. He gets my vote.
And to represent techno, I gotta say Steve Rachmad. This guy is the definition of amazing music, and specifically techno. Like the genre of not, if you listen to pretty much any set of his you'll find yourself grooving in your seat uncontrollably at least once.

I agree with everything you said regarding his great attributes, but I don't think he's underated. I'm pretty sure he could draw a crowd at any big club on the planet and he is considered the most popular DJ in his (sub) genre. I also don't think he's under appreciated; he doesn't have a commercial sound so he won't ever be an Armin or Tiesto, but it's hard to find someone in the trance scene that doesn't admire his technical ability.

Fair enough...can I say underrated in North America? Definitely here in TO.
I guess I just can't find a rationale why he isn't booked at a larger indoor club headlining with a decent sound system here...besides any reason but not being respected/known. Plus he dropped huge in that Top 100 DJ Poll (though Lord knows thats become a farce). And I know he's opened for talent like Mauro Picotto (????) in LA late last year. I don't know....these just to me add up to a lack of respect.

Yes I agree, but he's one of many. Look at someone like Banco De Gaia, one of the entrepreneurs of electronic music that was not intended for any club use and integrated all the essentials of no less than 10 genres on about every EP he put out. How many people can say they know who he even is? It's an unfair world, but we have to accept it.
