My father told me to complete "at least complete high school" and become a welder/do a trades job.

I'm 21 and I make more money then him

Oh my mom use to ask me several times if I wanted to be a garbage man when I grew up and was still in high school.

I make more money then her as well.

Tough loving worked out

Old fashioned porkchop parents value their reputations and egos way too highly...and they love to talk crap.

Kind of off-topic but yea...my choices are my own.

haha cribby, same here in the ways of being a rebel...and to thsi day I am still that way. I hate authority, i hate rules, and I always try to push my luck anytime and anywhere i can

My parents are great...if they only knew half of what i have done/still do hahaha

well, if i had followed my parents i'd be married to a trucker, and on baby number 4 by now (crazy religious freaks). BIIIG disappointment there

as for what i'm becoming (criminologist/profiler). my dads a carpenter and draftsman. my mom is a kindergarten teacher (was a stay at home mom..6 kids..kinda had to)

my parents, especially my father, have a thirst for knowledge that you rarely find. its kinda funny, because as kids my parents trained us all to be inquisitive and to strive for more. this resulted in a bunch of us leaving the church..which is the last thing they want.
