So true! Bunny and I are sort of buddies with a bartender at Avalon. He hooks us up all the time. Usually it's like a 2 for 1 deal...really strong drinks in bigger cups. We tip big too! Two vodka redbulls for $8 and a 5 dollar tip is still cheaper than it should be

well in general i tip fairly well but its at the end of the night because i keep an open tab ... but i agree with you on the strong drink part... most places i have been to , the bartenders definitely add the vodka to the mixer instead of the other way round but i cant say ive gotten them free of charge

on a side note, i read this article a few days ago about how club managers have become aware that their bartenders are puring extra alcohol when making drinks for the customers and are cracking down on it

15% or more all of the time unless in extreme cases. Seriously wtf if you don't want to tip then stay at home and cook your own fucking food.

if I ever want extra liquor in a drink I always say I will give a better tip and they always hook it up.

Customer service is about some random person helping you out based on how well you help him out(TIP) In the end of the night or shift they will count their money and be happy or pissed based off how well they performed(good or bad). There is always the next day of work to look foward for more tips so it always works out unless your in those sticky situations like too many tips to split or maybe the busines is slow that night or disgruntled workers. It works out for everyone customer and employee. Common sense goes along way when it comes to tipping.

if you're going to be drinking a lot at the same bar, tipping the bartender is definitely a good idea. i usually throw down $1 after every drink i order - sometimes more if the bartender deserves it or if i'm in a bigger city.

i was drinking in NY a few years ago and i gave the bartender a $5 tip after my first drink. 6 tall cocktails later i had started a tab and when i closed it out the total came to $15. there's no way drinks in Manhattan should be that cheap, so i ended up tipping him another $15 on top of that.
