With the exception of Happy Hardcore (shit, there is no meth, no E, no crack, strong enough for that shit), most of the music we don't like seems to revolve around the sketchy perveyors of the genre in question. Frankly, if we dropped a nuke in the middle of Woodbridge, 3/4 of our objections to most of these genres would disappear instantly...

More or less. Personally I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that electro house really derives much from electro, or house for that matter, though I suppose it's subjective. Desyn Masiello's sets circa 2004-2005 would be a much better example of "electro house" in that those tracks are actually clearly in the house genre and use many clearly-recognizable electro elements.

In any case, classic electro barely exists today so I'm fairly certain that most people who say they hate it are really talking about the electro house fad last year that gave way to this year's minimal fad.
