Ya, it can be unnappealing, not exactly a turn on lol, but again depends on the person, I think, and the girl, of course.

I prolly wouldn't wanna know if a guy's mom that I dated still lived with his parents without a good reason and his mom made his bed. No offence to anyone

I can see where she got that from your generalization, though, or from the fact that you're shocked people still live at home.

If you don't provide more detail about your intentions, people will always read things in a way you never intended!

I've noticed as well that more and more of us are living at home after high school/college. Partly I believe because of the high cost of living we noe face these days.

If you can avoid your parents walking in on you when your having sex, and get cooked meals, and avoid having a bedtime (lol) then it may make perfect sense to continue living at home until your more financially secure.

I was lucky because being an athlete I was able to live on my sponsors bill, and I was self-employed and was able to sustain my-self well. Although if I did end up going to college or whatever it really would have been tough to make ends meet and I would either be forced to live on beans and spagetti or move back in with my folks.

I find it interesting that so many adult children are willing to leech off their parents for so long, yet when their parents age or get sick, they aren't willing to take them on and care for them.

personally, i think the roles will switch with me and my parents. after i start working and start to make a living, they'll be at the age where they are retired and i know for a fact that they will need my assistance during those years. i would be a horrible son if i didn't help them in anyway that i could.

thats why right now i'm not spending money on things like rent or food so i could save up and start my future on the right foot, ie w/o debt and maybe even enough for a downpayment on my own property.

Ya, I am doint this, too, but once I purchase it I am hoping to rent it out as an additional source of income. Buying a property is a great investment, and now you can buy one with a downpayment as low as 10k.
