After batman and robin came out Warner Brothers decided not scarp any plans for a new batman movie due 2 the shitness of the Tim Burton/Joel Schumacher films. the whole franchise was dead for a few years and there have been attempts by directors like Darren Aronofsky and Wolfgang Petersen to revive the franchise. Warner really didnt want to cause they always saw batman as a dead franchise.

heath ledger looks fucking dope. this might be his best role yet. totally unlike anything else he has done before, the laugh is so sinister too!

hate to say it, but this movie stands to benefit from his death, so many more people will see it just because of "the role that killed him".
