I have. I got that book as a present some years ago, and wasn't very enthusiastic about it at first. "Whoa, it's about the war. What do I care? It'll be boring as hell for sure." Something like that.
After I read just a few pages my mind changed quickly, I finished the book in a day and a half, and absolutely loved it. Not my all time favorite, but a great one for sure.
