noobs want to feel part of the group. they do that in several ways. one of these ways is the "say ridiculous things until they notice me". no one anymore wants to wait around until the group notices them. it's almost a given that new members will try this method. no one wants to spend 2 years posting normal/smart/funny comments and get noticed that way.

There is a tonne of truth to this. I tried/am trying to go about this the normal way. More ppl know Jesse than me
