To paint the picture, the nearest town with shops is about 30 minutes drive, most of which is gravel roads. Stock up, bring an eski if needed. We are going to shut civilisation out for couple of days!
I am coming back to Melbourne early sat morning so am thinking of organising a meeting point in northern suburbs at a set time, so we can form a car convoy and go together. I know the area where we're going very well, but the first time I went there, it took four of us a lot of stops and map checks on the way lol
I would NOT recommend traveling there (or back) at night unless really needed or unless you are experienced driving in the bush!
Bring winter clothes and at least one torch - just in case.
By the way, this is also doubling as my and the main host's birthday party!
