i had the most pounding headache when i woke up today
my god
i'm having trouble deciding if it was due to the strobe lights set to maximum blindness or the guys who came on after j00f and put the bpms up to 1027. fucking hell
my head was destroyed when they started

but enough of that

saw artemis i think upstairs for a bit then went down to see the end of gleave, he was pretty good. he handed out some cds when he finished too which was cool. then j00f came on and it was w00t time played some mad tunes, went nuts to 'the prophecy', gms remix of 'beauty never fades' at the start was awesome, so was that tune sampling klf, i thought it was salt n pepa at first lol even the harder stuff he played i thought wasn't bad, i think near the end he played a dub of 'violet vision - cellophane' which is one of my most hated tracks off the white label republic cd but i managed to contain the hatred and even keep dancing, it sounded alright on that kind of system

big thumbs down to the clown with the mic who tried to cut him off right at the breakdown of oliver prime's remix of 'netherworld'. also thumbs down to the clowns who were turning the monitors away, hes like what are you doing? the guy goes the next group wants them facing outward, he says well they aren't on yet are they why dont you wait till i finish, the guy moves them anyway so john has to go and change them back haha

i was disappointed he didnt play 'lantra', i told him later you have no idea how many greeks live in melbourne, a whole bunch would be at a party like this, they would have gone nuts when they heard the 300 sample haha. he said he had to keep feeding the crowd the hard candy haha

so yeah he finished and then these other clowns came on and we went upstairs and stayed there for a little while, it seemed pretty hot up there though so stood on the stairs until the security guy comes up and says you cant stand here. so we shuffled back and forth a bit.

i thought security was funny as, one guy was busting out the moves with us when j00f was on lol
when kamui was one there was 4 other security guys sitting on the stage chatting, one of them was busting moves as well hahaha

saw a bit of ben, didnt realise it was him, was just sitting chatting thinking this sounds alright, looked over it was him going off hehe.

managed to fluke a mad pic of j00f going nuts on my phone, also saved a video of netherworld, if i can figure out how to get it on the pc and upload i shall

saw sunrise managed to get his way on stage with his camera, looking forward to the results haha

left around 4 ish, had a pretty good night considering i had no idea who any of the other djs were and was only going to see john. not a bad way to spend a bday

was an enjoyable night.. considering i wasnt going to go until the night before hand!
I would definitely classify it as a hardstyle event.. Most of the people i spoke to said they were there for the hard shtuff..

not really my forte, but it was still fun to get out there with my gear and get some good shots! and was cool to meet sunrise finally :P

turned into a big night after i put the camera down ... haha now im sick as a mo!

i had a pretty fun night

gleave was pretty hit and miss. played some absolute monsters but then played some shockers or ruined tracks with loops/effects.
j00f was pretty good, liked his first half the best.

hi mr Blog. standing ftw.

lol.

I've already filed that one under "introductory conversation topics you wish you never bought up when meeting people for the first time".

But yes, standing ftw indeed.

Had heaps of fun well done KRS!

Missed out on Gleave, but liked JOOF & KAMUI WAS SET of the night for me!
Kamui have gone from strength to strength, they have a bright future ahead of them!

Sad to say but DID NOT enjoy Technoboy & Noisecontrollers FULL SET!
TRACKLISTING = INCONSISTANT & OMGSH SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FKN CHEESE, especially from Noisecontroller's........they give hard music a bad name!!!

what a laugh seeing some of the crowd going spastic to the melodic gay nu style CHEDDER CHEESE bits hahaha so gay & especially when some gay telletubby la la ring a fkn rosy vocal track Noisecontrollers played haha
WAS A SITE FOR SORE EYES & SO FRUSTRATING as all I wanted to hear was some worthy hard music not cheese with gay lullaby vocals.

last 30 minutes of Hellyboy was ok, HOWEVER WHY TURN THE MUSIC LOWER WHEN THE NIGHT HAD NOT EVEN ENDED.......YOU CANNOT DO THAT, IT RUINS THE ATMOSPHERE!
LOUD MUSIC TILL THE VERY LAST SECOND GOSH!

good to see some of ya's.....haaaaaaa SIMON GO THE PIES!!!!
