Give me the same 10 tracks mixed twice, once on an 800, once on a 92. 99.9% of listeners couldn't tell the difference, myself included. Especially on big club systems.
Guys like cmay will mix with the best of them, on a DJM400, or my buddy Mike who spins amazing music on a shit Numark dual-CD setup.
IMO, it's preference.
One reason I'd lean away from the 800 is that they're everywhere... it's almost too logical a decision. Don't buy one to fit in.
Buying a mixer is like buying an exotic car. They all have the bells and whistles, they're all fucking fast, they'll all give you a hard on in minutes... it comes down to feel. We're talking about hyper-competitive markets here, cars or mixers, there's tons of great options out there.
