"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

I absolutely love digweed. but when they are both in the zone, howells is untouchable. I literally had to turn off the set at work halfway through b/c I had a sudden urge to leave work and get fucking down lol.

Was listening to that portion of the set this morning. I have to admit, the 45 minutes before lift up the needle I was like holy crap this music is bad. Right around 150-200 minutes he starts playing really old house that I dont like. Then lift up the needle comes in and gets everything back on track.

The song w/ the "that mf'in house music" sample made me want to blow my brains out. Terrible track.

I hear that. I'm not the biggest fan of a bunch of those tracks before Westworld with the exception of Lee Coombs - Lick The Frog. It's kind of a transitional point in the set from the deeper jackin' house stuff into the harder progressive house and techier grooves.

I have one more hour to go of the set, loved most of it, but that "lift the needle" track got on my nerves VERY fast, weakest track in the mix IMO. I'm just so impressed by the diversity of genres on hand, I'm back into the classic-styled house section after hearing techy groves, prog, and breaks.

Yea its like 15 minutes long. Its one of those classics that hasnt aged very well, along with most alot of those vasquez era NYC anthems.

John Digweed doesn't play bad tracks. Guess that makes him the best.

They are better in a club then at home. It's just one of those party atmosphere things.
